Young Kim
Technology Lead, Healthy City

Young Kim holds a Bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics, emphasis in Computer Science, from University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Kim has been working extensively with spatial and indicator datasets, and geographic information systems (GIS). His GIS web applications utilize wide ranging platforms and technologies that include emerging open source systems as well as established industry solutions. Since 1999, Mr. Kim has been engaged in professional web development, network administration, and project management.

The Healthy City Project's (HC) open access GIS web-based platform improves the accessibility of services to low-income, underserved families. HC allows users to add their own data to an extensive resource base on www.healthycity.org. HC works to ensure sensible public policies that are based on sound data and will improve the quality of life for all communities throughout California.
