Apps For Open Transportation
Cities all over the world are releasing their transportation schedules, real time data and ridership information. There are massive opportunities to mashup this data into some really cool apps.
But do we need to re-invent the wheel in every place that has open transport data? What are the common features we could build together? Can we compare performance and service world-wide? Do we wait for Google Transit to sort it all out for us, or can we do richer and better apps with local knowledge and global awareness?
