Using mobile crowdsourcing to microtask the analysis of satellite imagery for disaster response. There are more than 2 million square kilometers of satellite imagery taken every day. This is a big data problem that cannot yet be addressed with automated algorithms. Microtasking and crowdsourcing is the way to go. This talk shares pioneering efforts with the UN to do just this in Somalia, Syria. Read more.
